Sneha Ghar: Boys Home
About the project
Our first project was a new school in Hyderabad for children under 15 years old. In addition to the long-lasting impact of the catastrophic earthquake in 2010, existing schools are severely lacking in basic supplies of educational tools like stationary, mathematical equipment, and classroom equipment.
Starting point
The first step to understand the scope of the project was to learn what shaped a child's learning experience in Hyderabad and to find out how we could make improvements.
Support from local communities
Location, scale, and accessibility was absolutely crucial to this project. We wanted to make the biggest but most realistic impact to the educational landscape in Hyderabad.
End result
Contextualizing the needs of Hyderabad schoolchildren, their parents, and their educators helped us to construct a well-equipped, bright, and accessible place of learning.
